In multi-line video slots games and special bonus game slots however, the amount that you can win will depend on whether you take advantage of the bonus payouts.  In multi-line games, the more coins you insert the more winning pay lines you can land symbols on and win.  For example, if you only deposit 1 coin than you can only win on a single, middle pay line, however if you deposit 3 or more coins than you win on the middle, top, bottom pay lines and possibly diagonal pay lines (depending on how many coins you insert).

Some types of slots games with have special bonus multiplier payouts.  These games operate just like an ordinary multiplier slots game (payouts dependant on how many coins you insert) however you can win a special bonus payout (e.g. 10:1 instead of 7:1) if you insert the maximum number of coins when you win. This provides an incentive for playing the maximum number of coins in a slots game.

Finally, you might come across progressive jackpot slots games. Progressive slots work just like ordinary slots games however the prize pool are much larger, normally they exceed£1 million.  Unlike regular slots where the payouts are fixed, in progressive slots the jackpot is usually “linked” up to other slot machines and it increases as more and more players insert coins.  Once a player finally hits the jackpot, he wins all of the cash and the jackpot is reset to zero again.  Obviously, the rewards of playing jackpot games are that you can win much bigger prizes than regular slots games, however the downside is that they are much harder to win.
